The Thai Ridgeback is a medium-to-large, athletic dog known for its muscular build, short coat and distinctive ridge of hair along the back. Typically independent, intelligent and loyal to its family, it can be reserved with strangers and may show a strong prey drive, so early socialisation and consistent training are important. These dogs need regular vigorous exercise and mental stimulation and do best with space to run — a secure, fenced garden helps — so they suit active households and owners with some experience. Grooming needs are modest but responsible owners should factor in veterinary care and containment. Take a look at the Thai Ridgeback pets currently available.
