The Cornish Rex is a small-to-medium, slender cat with a soft, curly coat and a lively, affectionate nature; they are highly social, intelligent and enjoy interactive play and climbing, making them more active than many domestic breeds. Prospective owners should consider that Cornish Rexes thrive on attention and stimulation, so homes with time for daily games, vertical space and company suit them best. Their short fur needs little brushing but they can feel the cold and may need warm bedding or a jumper in cooler houses; regular ear and skin checks and routine vet care are sensible. Overall they make engaging companions for family or single-owner households willing to meet their needs.
