Pomeranians are a compact, lively toy breed known for their bold, affectionate nature, bright intelligence and outgoing demeanour. Typically weighing 1.8–3.5kg and needing moderate daily exercise, they enjoy short walks and play but are equally happy to relax at home. Prospective owners should consider regular grooming because of their thick double coat, routine dental and health checks, careful handling around very young children and consistent socialisation to curb barking. They suit apartment living if mentally stimulated and given regular attention. If you think a small, spirited companion might suit you, take a look at the Pomeranian pets currently available.
