The Dogue De Bordeaux is a large, muscular mastiff-type with a calm, loyal temperament: affectionate with family, protective of home and often gentle despite a formidable appearance. They are not high-energy but need regular moderate exercise and firm, consistent training and socialisation from an early age. Potential owners should consider their size and strength—ample indoor space and a secure garden help—as well as the breed’s brachycephalic features, possible health issues and a need for routine veterinary care, careful feeding and heat management. Grooming is straightforward but commitment to training and responsible ownership is essential. If this steady companion sounds right for you, take a look at Dogue De Bordeaux pets currently available.
