The Golden Shepherd is a medium–large, intelligent and affectionate dog, blending the sociable, people-pleasing nature of the Golden Retriever with the loyalty and protectiveness of the German Shepherd. Typically even-tempered and trainable, they do best in active households where they receive regular exercise and mental stimulation; without enough activity they can become bored or boisterous. Prospective owners should consider space, daily walking or running commitments, consistent training and routine grooming to manage a medium to heavy double coat. They suit families and experienced owners who can provide structure and companionship. If this sounds like the right fit, take a look at Golden Shepherd pets currently available.
