The Newfypoo is a large, affectionate crossbreed that combines the gentle, patient nature of the Newfoundland with the intelligence and playful streak of the Poodle. Typically calm and family-friendly, they suit households seeking a devoted companion rather than an overly energetic dog; moderate daily exercise and regular mental stimulation keep them content. Their dense, often curly coat needs routine grooming and occasional trimming, and they do best with space to move—so a garden or regular outdoor access is helpful. Potential owners should plan for grooming costs, consistent training and socialisation, and a reliable time commitment.
