Elegant and athletic, the Pharaoh Hound is a medium-sized sighthound known for being affectionate with family yet independent and alert. They’re playful and intelligent, often forming strong bonds, but retain a high prey drive and need regular opportunities to run; they thrive with active owners who can provide consistent training and socialisation. Their short coat is low-maintenance, though they benefit from routine care and protection in cold weather. Consider whether you have space for regular exercise and safe off‑lead areas, plus time for daily walks and mental stimulation, before buying or adopting.
