Friendly, affectionate and compact, the Cavapoochon combines the gentle nature of the Cavalier, the smarts of a Poodle and the playful charm of a Bichon to make a small companion dog that suits many households. Typically calm indoors but lively in play, they are a small to toy-sized breed with moderate exercise needs — daily walks and interactive play keep them happy — and they usually respond well to training and socialisation. Prospective owners should consider regular grooming for their often curly or wavy coat, routine dental and ear care, and the risk of separation anxiety if left alone for long periods; they can adapt to flats but still need stimulation.
