The Savannah is a striking, large domestic cat with a distinctive spotted coat, long legs and a bold, curious temperament. Often highly active and intelligent, they enjoy climbing, interactive play and learning tricks, and can form very loyal, social bonds with owners — sometimes behaving more like a dog than a typical cat. Prospective buyers or adopters should consider their need for space, regular mental and physical stimulation, secure outdoor access or tall cat furniture, and consistent socialisation from a young age. They can be demanding in terms of diet, grooming and veterinary care, so this breed suits experienced owners prepared for time, expense and commitment.
