Great Danes are gentle, affectionate giants known for calm, people-oriented temperaments, towering size and moderate activity needs — they enjoy daily walks and playful bursts but are not hyperactive. Prospective owners should consider their substantial space, sturdy flooring and the cost and care of a large dog, including diet, grooming and regular vet checks to manage joint and cardiac health. Early socialisation and consistent, positive training help channel their strength and sensitive nature into good behaviour. If you can provide room to stretch and a calm household, a Great Dane can be a devoted companion. View Great Dane pets currently available.
