The Miniature Schnauzer is a compact, alert and affectionate small breed, known for its keen intelligence, spirited yet steady temperament and lively, wiry coat. Active and curious, they enjoy daily walks, play and mental stimulation but adapt well to family life and smaller homes when given regular exercise and firm, consistent training. Prospective owners should consider grooming needs, regular ear and dental care, sensible socialisation and moderate activity levels rather than very long runs. They suit people who can commit time for training, grooming and companionship rather than leaving them alone for long periods.
