The Napoleon is a small-to-medium, short‑legged cat known for a gentle, affectionate temperament and a playful, curious streak. Typically sociable and people‑oriented, Napoleons enjoy lap time as much as interactive play; they’re not highly energetic but appreciate regular activity to stay healthy. Their compact size and adaptable nature make them suitable for flats, though owners should provide toys, low perches or ramps and safe enrichment. Prospective buyers or adopters should consider grooming needs (many have plush or long coats), routine veterinary checks and potential issues linked to short‑limbed or brachycephalic ancestry; choose a reputable breeder or rescue and plan for sensible diet and joint care rather than a spontaneous purchase.
